Brighton College Accoya Sash & Casement Windows.
Pembroke & Nash have been awarded yet another large contract on a prestigious School in Brighton. The order was placed after much discussion about aesthetics and longevity. The remit was to copy the windows to as near the existing as possible, this included traditional timber, slim but high performance double glazing and a dual colour scheme, white internal and stained externally.
The durability and longevity of the windows was a primary concern for the client. This school has been established for well over a century (1845), with this in mind the new sash and casement windows need to perform without fault for many years to come. The only option was the “Super timber” Accoya. Not only is the Accoya timber key, but so is the manufacture process, high performance glues, stainless steel fixings, bonded joints and specialist coatings.
This timber comes with a 50 year warranty from Accoya. These new Accoya windows will be still be here in hundreds of years to come if maintained correctly.
Pictures of this project will be be posted if permission is granted from the client.
